Recycled Trolls
Thomas Dambo lives and works in Copenhagen. He scours garbage cans and city containers on a daily basis in search of old pallets, abandoned wooden objects, boards and rusty fences. He transforms the materials he finds into giant troll sculptures. Why these creatures? For a long time Scandinavian folklore and tales, which are full of magical creatures, have fascinated the man.

A Map to The Giants
The man created over 70 trolls. You can see them in several countries. Of course, most of the sculptures are in Copenhagen. However, it is not easy to find them, because they are cleverly hidden. To find them you need a map. You can also decode short messages, written on the stones next to each of the giants.

Lots of Work And Help From Volunteers
Thomas Dambo creates his trolls in the workshop studio. First, the head is formed and the rest of the body is added at the place where the sculpture is to stay permanently. This is quite a challenge, and there is a lot of work. Volunteers help the artist. It is their names that he calls his giants.

Long Live Recycling
Creating one troll takes 700-800 hours of hard work and requires the help of 5-25 people. We must admit that the sculptures are very impressive and, most importantly, they are recycled.
